Johor Cycling Series 120km Road Race on 14th Sept 2024. https://www.johorcyclingseries.com/

Been using Xert to plan my cycling workouts for the race event since May when I signed up in the Men Master B category.

Since there is no finisher data of the previous race, I cannot input into Xert for analysis to train for it. So, I can only choose Athletic Type "Breakaway Specialist(5 mins Power)" which i think is suitable for this race.

Added my usual pinned ride which are Monday Rest, Saturday Tempo/Hard Group Ride, Sunday LSD Solo/Group Ride.

Shall see how it goes on the race event and the position I will be at. Then use the data to input into Xert, to plan for next year race event.

As above from my Strava Post on 28th July 2024. https://www.strava.com/athletes/15008107/posts/31228203

Despite having cycled to Johor multiple times with friends to enjoy the long, ongoing road, I still plan on dedicating a day to ride the entire route for a more thorough acquaintance. With great attention to detail, I meticulously charted my journey from JB Custom to the race's start and finish lines, and then back to JB Custom, covering a grand total of 170 kilometers. You can view the route here: https://www.plotaroute.com/route/2699721. In addition, the total distance to travel back and forth from my home amounts to roughly 220km, resulting in quite a lengthy expedition.

To cover that distance, I calculated I would require roughly 9 hours, accounting for brief rests, meal breaks, and the waiting time at both the Singapore Checkpoint and JB Custom. So, with that, I have to wake up at the crack of dawn and leave home by 3:15am to make it to JB Custom by 4:30am. Nevertheless, it's okay because I'll only be doing it once or twice before the race date.
