This was Mike Tyson’s fight after 15 years of being out of the ring while his opponent last had his fight just 2 years ago. However, the 54 years old boxing veteran and his rival at 51 managed to finish all the 8 rounds in their full time. That’s impressive.
The Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr. match showed us that Mike Tyson still had what it got to stay in the ring at 54 years of age while Roy Jones Jr. showed a little bit of reluctance defensively.
Overally, both fighters had good moments during the 8 rounds match which was unofficially ruled a draw by the WBC judges. Surprisingly both fighters emerged very much healthy while wearing big smiles after their match.
Tyson hinted out that he would do this again because the fight was raising money for different charities.
“This is better than fighting for championships”. “We´re humanitarians now.” “We can do something good for the world”. “We’ve got to do this again.” I would absolutely do this again.”
