Downdetector has reported an increase in the number of people reporting problems with the Rain Network for the past 24 hours but a spike on these reports started from 23:00.

Many customers have been reporting problems with accessing the dashboard of their respective accounts on the Rain website as well as slow internet speeds with a large number complaining about a complete disappearance of the network signal.

Downdetector map shows that the majority of these reports have been coming from Johannesburg, Cape Town, Pretoria, Durban, and Port Elizabeth.

I am a new user to Rain’s network and I also started experiencing these problems last night to an extent that i lost signal and the website’s dashboard was not responding. At the time of writing, rain customers are still reporting depleting internet speeds and connectivity issues although the company partially fixed these problems a few hours after the reports.

However, as much as a spike in reports increased last night, it seems like rain customers have been complaining about having these problems constantly. The rain network has not issued any statement regarding these outage reports.

The image below shows the spike in Downdetector reports for rain since 14:00 on Tuesday 31 March 2020.
